Russet Hill Orchard Co. Enamel Mug
Product details
Russet Hill Orchard Co. is a 12 oz white enamel mug with a silver rim, lead- and BPA-free, showing a stone press shed, apple trees and the words FRESH PICKED, in a limited run of 50.
From the stories of Linden Reach (fiction): Before Russet Hill had an orchard, it had one crooked apple tree beside the old ford, grown from a core someone tossed away. Its fruit was small and rough-skinned, and it was the best thing growing in the valley. In the winter of 1908 Hester Penhallow took cuttings and grafted forty whips into two south-facing rows. The Guild came on a bright spring Saturday to dig, and she made them write down every hour. Years later she painted her one rule over the door of the stone press shed: FRESH PICKED. Her saying was simple, "Fresh picked, or not at all." Each October, on the morning after the first cold night, the ladders come out and the willow baskets fill. The shed, the two apple trees and the full basket are all on this mug. It is a small piece of the hill for your own shelf.
This is a limited run of 50 in Drop 1, and part of the connected Linden Reach series, where the orchard's rows were first dug by the Gathering Moon Guild.
